Pictures from My Life in Europe

Dijon gate

Readers have written to ask me questions about Europe, so I put up these pages to share some of the wonderful things I've encountered here.

Germany is where I started writing my books. My daughters spent almost their entire adolescence out of the United States, and even though they are "back home" now, they still strongly identify with the German culture. I love it too. I spent eleven years of my life there.

When we first moved to Germany, every time I looked around, I thought, "That looks like a postcard!" After a while, I didn't notice anymore, but preparing these pages made me see it all again. There was so much beauty there.
